Come to Delaware Valley Ramps to learn about ramp harvesting and sustainability and pick some ramps for your own use. Ramps are the first green sign of spring, highly valued for their taste as a cross between garlic and onions. Used cooked, grilled in stews and soups or raw pickled and in salads, ramps are a regional delicacy.
In 2021 Delaware
Valley Ramps started offering Ramps-U-Pick, an
opportunity for families and their children
to experience ramps in the wild, learn to
identify, harvest and process them.
Participants learn about culinary uses, are
offered a variety of ramp dishes to taste and
recipes to make them at home. You will have
more than an hour to pick ramps to take home
and cook, transplant to establish your own
patch, or both.
Pick up to 3 lbs. of ramps per adult for your own non-commercial use. Tools and support will be provided on site. We will have tastes of some of our favorite ramp dishes for you to enjoy and recipes for you to use at home to cook your ramps and make some of our favorite dishes.
Individual general admision tickets are good for one adult and family tickets are good for two adults and up to 3 children under 18 years of age. Up to 8 individual tickets and one family ticket are available for each session.
Delaware Valley Ramps has been harvesting sustainably on our property for 17 years with sales to restaurants and wholesalers in the Upper Delaware River Watershed and New York City. In 2026 we are inviting you to come and learn what it is all about for the sixth annual Ramps U-Pick.
Parking is onsite and there will be drinking water available and a portapotty for your use. Limited dates are available beginning in April and extending through the end of the ramp season, around mid-May. Reserve your time now via Eventbrite for Ramps U-Pick
